A Whole Lotta Play! A Whole Lotta Fun!

While some kids are jumping for joy, others are sad, confused, and frustrated. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, their daily routines of classroom learning, recess, afterschool clubs and activities, and spring sports are gone. And, just last week, Pender Makin, commissioner, Maine Department of Education, recommended Maine schools continue with online and distance learning through the end of the academic calendar.

Our friends from Dairy Queen know these times are challenging for kids and their families. They’ve created a special website, DQ Play At Home, that features some great activities and games to help keep families entertained during these unprecedented times. My personal favorite is the shadow puppet story book. We love to camp, and we’re excited to camp in and try some of these activities, especially with a forecast that calls for strong winds and widespread power outages.
